Arctic and Alpine Floras are particularly affected by climate change. In the last decade much has been learnt about the history and evolution of these floras, and how they might respond to current global warming. This conference will attempt to synthesise what is currently known and to suggest promising avenues for future research. The meeting will include invited talks from paleobotanists, ecologists and evolutionary biologists, as well as a poster session to encourage greater involvement of participants. The symposium will provide a forum for learning what's new in this field, for exchanging ideas and forging new research collaborations on topics of great current interest. The symposium will be held at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Conference organized by: Richard Abbott - e-mail - web Address: Mitchell Building, School of Biology, University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Fife KY16 9TH, UK |
