Interpretative Panels

These panels were written as a guide to the taxonomy and general biology of the animals displayed in the Bell-Pettigrew Museum. Each board has two sections; an upper section, aimed at our students, containing more specialist information on the taxonomy, anatomy and physiology of the group, and a lower section, aimed at visitors, that contains some interesting facts about the animals. Each of the phyla has its own (or in some cases more than one) board, and we hope that these will help you to interpret and learn more about the animals on display.

The panels were written by Dr Iain Matthews, designed by Mr Steve Smart and Mr Cavan Convery and funding was provided by an award from the University of St Andrews Development Fund to the School of Biology External Relations Committee.
