The Centre for Biomolecular Sciences (CBMS) is an interdisciplinary research centre involving the RAE Grade 5 Schools of Biology, Chemistry and Medicine. Research at the centre focuses on infection and immunity, chemical biology, DNA repair and enzymology, and is underpinned by world-class facilities for structural biology,
proteomics and synthetic chemistry.

CBMS has a population of 160 from 40 nations, including 22 principal investigators, 48 postdoctoral fellows, 70 PhD students and associated technical support staff, and has a current grant portfolio valued at over £19M.

CBMS is home to the Scottish Structural Proteomics Facility (SSPF),
a £6M venture with Dundee and Warwick Universities for high throughput structure determination.

The Centre enjoys stunning views over the famous golf links and the sea, and provides a stimulating environment for collaborative research.
