Louise Major is a research fellow investigating key enzymes in lipid and GPI anchor biosynthesis in trypanosomes.

Louise's PhD (University of Otago, New Zealand) focused on termination of protein synthesis in E. coli. Since then she has worked in structural biology and enzymology. Her history of working with epimerase and isomerase enzymes is continuing with work with TbIno1. Along with genetic and chemical validation of drug targets, Louise is subjecting some drug targets to structural studies.
