The Centre for Social Learning and Cognitive Evolution will be holding an open conference on the vocal communication in birds and mammals from the 31st of July to the 2nd of August 2008 in the Bute Buildings of the School of Biology, University of St Andrews, Scotland. It will cover all aspects of acoustic communication in mammals and birds. The meeting is in honour of Prof Slater who retires in 2008 from the Kennedy Chair for Natural History at the University of St Andrews.
