{"id":31951,"date":"2023-10-05T19:32:13","date_gmt":"2023-10-05T18:32:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/biology.st-andrews.ac.uk\/biophotonics\/?page_id=31951"},"modified":"2025-05-21T16:27:53","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T15:27:53","slug":"vacancies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/biology.st-andrews.ac.uk\/biophotonics\/vacancies\/","title":{"rendered":"Job opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"87\" src=\"https:\/\/biology.st-andrews.ac.uk\/biophotonics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2023\/10\/uni-logo-1024x87.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32131\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"color:#5855d9\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Marie Sklodowska-Curie PDRA Fellowships: Expression of interest 2025<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">CoB seeks highly motivated and ambitious researches in the fields of biological physics, imaging, biophotonics and nanophotonics to apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/topic-details\/HORIZON-MSCA-2025-PF-01-01\">MSCA-2025 Postdoctoral Fellowships.<\/a> We offer cutting-edge research groups and we will support you in building your application working together with you and the host PI to submit a competitive application. <strong>Interested candidates should contact the CoB Director (CoB-director@st-andrews.ac.uk) including a CV.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply for a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at the CoB you should have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A PhD degree in a related area to the CoB themes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A maximum of 8 years research experience, career break do not count<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For European Fellowships you must not have lived\/worked in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 36 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Global Fellowships you must not have lived\/worked in the country of the outgoing phase for more than 12 months in the last 36 months<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The 2025 MSCA call has opened on the 9th April and the submission deadline is 10 September 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Expression of Interest should include a CV (maximum 2 pages, including ORCID, Scopus or ResearchID profile), and a letter of interest including your a brief description of your research areas and potential CoB members to act as hosting supervisors. We strongly encourage applications from women. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expressions of interest will be evaluated upon receipt by an internal comittee and selected on the basis of synergy and alignment with the CoB research areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"color:#5855d9\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Royal Society Newton International PDRA Fellowships: Expression of interest for 2026<\/strong> <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">CoB seeks highly motivated and ambitious researches worldwide in the fields of biological physics, imaging, biophotonics and nanophotonics to apply for <a href=\"https:\/\/royalsociety.org\/grants\/newton-international\/\">Royal Society Newton Postdoctoral Fellowships<\/a>. We offer cutting-edge research groups and we will support you in building your application working together with you and the host PI to submit a competitive application. <strong>Interested candidates should contact the CoB Director (CoB-director@st-andrews.ac.uk) including a CV.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">The 2026 call is expected to open in January 2026 with a submission deadline March-April 2026. We strongly encouraged to contact the CoB as quick as possible to act as UK Sponsor.
