My research ranges from material science to biophotonics and focusses on the development of novel microscopic lasers and their integration into living cells and tissue for biomedical applications. In 2014, I obtained a PhD from the University of Potsdam (Germany) studying fundamental processes in conjugated polymers and organic solar cells.
