Young Academy of Scotland
Four members from the School of Biology, Dr Emma Carroll, Dr Maria Dornelas, Dr Andy Gardner and Dr Tracey Gloster, were elected as members of the Young Academy of Scotland (YAS).
YAS was established by the Royal Society of Edinburgh as a platform for young leaders from an array of backgrounds, including academia, business, and the arts, to foster collaborations and develop an influential voice to address issues facing Scotland in the modern society. Maria, Andy and Tracey are members of the Equality and Diversity Committee.
