Fellow of the Society of Marine Mammalogy

Congratulations to Professor Ailsa Hall, formerly of the Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU), who has been elected as a Fellow by the Society of Marine Mammalogy. Fellows are members who have “rendered conspicuous service or made truly notable contributions to the advancement and diffusion of the knowledge of marine mammal science or the fostering of its practical applications through conservation of marine mammals”. Ailsa was commended for “being a leader and role model for Women-in-STEM” and “for contributions to understanding disease pathology and spread in marine mammals”.
