marine mammals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Occasionally marine mammals come ashore because they are sick or injured.\u00a0 They may also wash up dead on the beach.\u00a0 There are a number of organisations in the UK that deal with these two types of stranded animals.\u00a0<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Please call them directly<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>as they will be able to respond.\u00a0 We do not deal with sick or injured animals.<\/p>\n<h3>For DEAD cetaceans or seals (and turtles)<\/h3>\n<p>In the UK the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><a title=\"Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme\" href=\"http:\/\/ukstrandings.org\/\">Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme<\/a><\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>was set up to deal with any reports of dead whales,
